If so we are holding an information evening on dementia in Grantstown Daycare Centre on Thursday 23rd January 2020 at 7.30 and you are invited to attend.
Jackie O’Toole from the Dementia Understand Together campaign has been invited to give the presentation on the night. The presentation is specific to businesses and has been given in other communities nationwide.
The aim of the evening is to raise the awareness of dementia in the community and to outline how local businesses can play a vital role in supporting Wellingtonbridge to become dementia friendly. Training and support will be provided.
We aim to increase empathy, skills and confidence in the local business/retail sector to enable them to respond positively and provide support to people with dementia, in all day-to-day interactions.
We would urge your business to come on board and we would love to see you in Grantstown on January 23rd.
